Update: A donation sent on Dec. 31st put me up to 100%! And on 3/29 a donation raised the total to 113%, fulfilling my desire to fund broadcasts in all 113 languages for GFA Radio. Thank you all, and praise the Lord!
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation" – these were Jesus' final words to His followers, His mission statement for the church – and His command to you and me! To proclaim the greatness of Christ and what He has done to rescue us from this dark world and open the door of heaven to us.
But still in the world today, over two billion people have never heard the Gospel, they don't know how their sins can be forgiven. In the teeming cities and remote mountain villages of Asia, people live their entire lives and die without knowing about Christ. Think about this: Every time your heart beats – thub, thub – another person in Asia has died and gone to hell without knowing our Savior's love.
Radio broadcasts are one of the most effective ways to proclaim the Gospel to millions of these precious people who would otherwise never learn about Jesus. Gospel for Asia broadcasts the Gospel in over 100 languages in Asia, and the harvest is truly tremendous – we are receiving over a million letters in response each year!
Radio is truly the "invisible evangelist" going where no Christian has ever set foot. That is why I am so enthusiastic about GFA's radio ministry. It is also one of the least-funded areas of the ministry, so there is a great need for your support!
I am starting this campaign for my birthday, November 8th, and am praying to raise $4500 by December 31st. That's enough for 100 radio broadcasts, one for each language. Would you please give a gift, for my birthday or Christmas or any reason, thinking of the poor farmer in the remote mountain village in Nepal who has the burning question in his heart, "Where will I go when I die," and who will now hear of this man named Jesus for the first time. I can think of no better birthday or Christmas gift than to give him the gift of eternal life.
