My daughter wanted to do something to help raise funds for poor people in Asia, particularly India, to hear the Gospel. Since my brothers and father are HAM Radio operators, I know how easily and effectively radio transmission is worldwide, as they have talked to people in many different countries around the world while sitting in their living rooms. So we decided to choose a Radio project, along with the reasons listed below.
For millions of people in Asia, there is a hunger for the truth of the Gospel. Through radio broadcasts, these people can hear the Good News in their own language. Broadcasts target social issues like suicide, alcoholism and drug abuse, and people are freed from the bondage they were in.
You can share the Gospel with an entire village by funding a simple radio program.
Radio plants seeds in the hearts of the listeners. With more than 50 responses on average from each broadcast, missionaries have open doors for follow up with individuals. Because radio can reach into every corner of South Asia, whole regions can be introduced to the Gospel, giving missionaries a strong starting point in unreached regions and villages. Radio even reaches into areas that are restricted to GFA-supported missionaries!
Speaks truth to whole regions at once! Radio has a wide range and reaches into the most unreached places in South Asia.
Bears lasting fruit with each message. There are over 50 responses on average coming in per broadcast, giving missionaries a way to directly impact individuals.
Broadcasted in more than 100 different languages, and targeting different social issues popular to specific regions, people are hearing the Good News of Jesus in a way they can understand.
Many fellowships start because of radio broadcasts that reach their villages even before missionaries can.
Together with a few friends, you can make a huge impact and have a part in lasting fruit on the field. For only $45 a program, we can bring the Good News to villages who have never heard Jesus’ name in their own language.
