What it must be like for a mother who has nothing? I appreciate putting my children to bed with clean sheets and full tummies. I am grateful for an income to care for my children. What it must be like for a woman of a substandard social class with no income or a way to take care of her child? The stories I have read about women and their babies in Asia are heartbreaking. I've decided to start a small campaign to help one woman and her baby at a time. I want her to know she is valued and to have hope. Instead of having to sell her baby into slavery, I want her to learn a vocational trade, hygiene, to have a warm blanket, protection for her child, to know the love of Christ. The list is endless as to how life changing this is for a mom and her child. Please donate any amount and let's reach this goal!
Upon becoming a widow in in some developing nations, a woman is often blamed for her husband's death and enters a life of shame. Burdened with the responsibility to care for her children alone, she is often forced into begging or even prostitution.
You donation will help GFA give widows a means of renewable income, like a sewing machine or farm animals. You'll also help with daily essentials, like blankets and water filters.
This support will be given through the local church, giving widows a chance to learn about the love of Jesus Christ.
About GFA World
Since 1979, GFA has existed to fulfill one passion: See communities in Asia and Africa discover the same joy, hope and lasting peace we’ve found in Christ.
We serve to equip missionaries to minister throughout Asia. The projects funded through myGFA each play a significant part in helping missionaries serve more effectively and in transforming communities with the love of Christ.
GFA World is dedicated to the most effective and efficient stewardship of resources, according to 1 Corinthians 3:12-14. Contributions to GFA are income tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. All gift options represent GFA's actual ministry efforts to meet the diverse needs of individuals and communities. GFA World seeks to use contributions raised for a particular ministry in furtherance of that charitable objective, but retains control and discretion over all donated funds to further its overall charitable objectives.
