Dear Conley Class,
Russ Conley has given us each SO much this past year -- time, love, prayers, etc. With this gift, we are not only giving Russ a small token of our appreciation, but we are helping others as well -- something which will not only gladden Russ's heart but Christ's as well.
As GFA explains elsewhere on their site, a pair of chickens can change the lives of a widow or family in Asia:
-- A rooster and a hen can produce up to 40 dozen eggs a year, providing much needed nourishment for a family.
-- When the chickens multiply, they soon turn into a whole flock, providing income for years.
-- With the income produced from chickens, kids can go to school, medical bills can get paid and these families can further help their own communities.
Chickens are easy to take care of and can thrive anywhere in South Asia. One pair of chickens costs $11. Seven pairs were chosen for our class goal because a goal is required by the system, but we can always give more...
