My Dad told me about how I could raise money to help people in need through GFA and I am excited to be able to help make a difference.
My goal is to raise $600.00 so that I can help to support 3 widows and there families. I chose this project because I really wanted to be able to give animals and water filters and this project does both.
My dad, had a great idea about what I can do to raise the money. I am going to memorize bible verses this year. My goal is to memorize 2 new verses every week for the next year. That will equal 100 verses!
Here is where you can help. I am looking for friends and family sponsor me for each verse that I memorize. You may want to make a pledge of $0.25 or $0.50 per verse, or $0.75, or $1.00 per verse. Or you can give what ever amount you want! Just in case I get too ambitious in memorizing verses, you may want to give a maximum that you would be willing to donate. For example: someone may pledge $0.25 per verse, UP TO $35.00 maximum. These pledges will help to motivate me to memorize even more bible verses. You can also donate a onetime gift instead if you prefer. Simply by clicking the 'Donate' button above.
Here is how it works. You can e-mail us your pledge per verse and Isaiah will keep you up to date on what verses he has memorized. Then every few months, you may go online to this web page and click on 'donate', to fulfill your pledge to date.
You can also send Isaiah verses that you think would be good for him to memorize. Thank you for doing what you can to help Isaiah make a difference in this world. :-)
About Widows
Upon becoming a widow in in some developing nations, a woman is often blamed for her husband's death and enters a life of shame. Burdened with the responsibility to care for her children alone, she is often forced into begging or even prostitution.
You donation will help GFA give widows a means of renewable income, like a sewing machine or farm animals. You'll also help with daily essentials, like blankets and water filters.
This support will be given through the local church, giving widows a chance to learn about the love of Jesus Christ.
