Message
There are approximately 18 million street children in India—more than half the population of Canada—with no one to look after them, no one to feed them, no one to protect them. They are at extreme RISK of exploitation for bonded labour and the sex trade. They are vulnerable to gangs, drugs, alcoholism and abuse. They know only distrust and pain; every single day is a struggle to survive. Would you join us in prayer for these precious children?
Having been to India, saddened to see so many children living on the streets in every city and in every slum, it is my heart’s desire to help Rescue India’s Street Kids.
By God's grace, Gospel for Asia has opened a home for runaway and abandoned children, as young as three years old--one for boys and one for girls. Given a safe place to stay at night, the children no longer have to sleep on the streets as open prey for kidnappers and predators. Those serving in this place give the children protection and strive to reunite them with their families, for those who have families. With so many needing to be rescued, we are asking the Lord to help us open many more homes across India and to have discernment how best to rescue as many as we can.

Many cities in developing nations are rife with children who live alone on the streets. These children are vulnerable to kidnappers who sell them into bonded labor and the sex trade. Those who avoid kidnappers fall into gangs, drugs, and alcoholism. They know only distrust and pain; every day is a struggle to survive.
