In 2012, I had the special privilege of spending six months teaching in India and briefly serving precious people in Calcutta. Most of the ones I shared with, embraced, and prayed for have leprosy. These brothers and sisters have been cast out of their homes and communities because they are considered a curse. Hundreds of them live in far off 'leper colonies' but many have come to experience the love of Christ through the Christian workers who go to them and serve them tirelessly.
I was privileged to gather with them one Sunday morning for worship under a tent in someone's backyard. We almost didn't fit, it was so packed! I was encouraged by their simple faith and genuine love and how their church gathering is everything to them. This is where their wounds are treated by church members, where they receive food, where they are prayed for, loved, and taught the ways of Jesus.
I've always wanted to finance a church building in a poor area. It has been one of my 'dreams' though I never thought I'd be able to afford it. After seeing their great need for a church home and learning about the mygfa campaign, I decided to prayerfully give this a try.
Some of the most unwanted, rejected, lowly people on this earth are finally beginning to experience God's love. He loves them!
What better expression of His love than for this community to finally have a permanent place for all of their needs? What we do unto them, we do unto Jesus.

About Church Buildings
Provide a place of worship and permanence
Fellowships of believers are growing across the world, yet many lack a safe, consistent place to meet for worship. Your donation will help GFA construct a church building for one of these congregations who lack the resources to do it on their own.
The average cost to build a church in nations where we serve is $10,000 - $40,000 depending on the capacity and the location. This provides not only a place for worship and discipleship, but is a vital symbol to the community of security and permanence.
