For a long time my family has had a heart for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ and for the people whom they are witnessing to. Christmas is often thought of as the holiday for getting stuff and not about God and what He had done for us, how He sent His Son to come to earth as a human to die for our sins. Instead of buying things for each other this year, we want to give to Jesus. “What would Jesus want?” was the big question for our family. We know that there is nothing we can give to God that He does not already have, but when we serve the least of these, we are serving Him. We decided to save for a Jesus well, Bibles, tracts, and a motorcycle. The Jesus well will be helping fill the people’s physical needs, but most importantly, introduce them to the one who is "Living Water". The Bibles will help them grow in this knowledge. We need to get the Word out, and a motorcycle is a great way for pastors to go to different villages to share the Gospel. Tracts are great to hand out to the people you meet.
For fundraisers, we’re making home made frozen dinners and cookies, doing odd jobs, perhaps even music performances! We're excited to see what God will bless as we seek to expand His kingdom this Christmas season. I hope you will consider joining us!

Tonight we counted our progress so far. We are excited to report that through doing yard work, selling home-cooked meals, and other giving we totaled (drum roll please….) $402.69!!!! Thank you for supporting our efforts. Next up is more cooking, harp playing, a Chick-fil-A Spirit Night and whatever other opportunities the Lord allows.
Update: 12/25
We were so excited to get up this morning and count what was in the jar. There were earnings from cooking, harp playing, and other donations. Some didn't think we were close, others hopeful we had what we needed. What did we learn? That God truly does more than we can hope for or imagine. He moved hearts to feel compassion and give generously - both in our own family and from others. He provided in ways we never imagined. We are so blessed to report the total today was $1833.23!!!!!
