Can you afford $1? How about $5?
Would you have anything against regular folks having clean water for drinking, cooking and hygiene? We didn't think so.
We take clean water for granted here in the United States. Our dog, Sally, has cleaner water in her bowl than what many people in other parts of our world drink.
Take a look at the video to see the difference a proper water well can make to an impoverished village of people.
A Jesus Well provides clean water to drink for a village in Asia. Another benefit of giving to this campaign is that 100 percent of the money you give goes to the actual construction of a well.
The money is not divided up among other Gospel for Asia ministry needs nor is anything subtracted for administrative costs. Every dime you give to the construction of a Jesus Well goes to the project fund for constructing Jesus Wells.
Our goal is to raise $1,400 to drill and install one Jesus Well. Costs are kept low because local contractors are used to construct them, and they are maintained by local churches.
Everyone can draw water at the wells. They provide clean water to believers and non-believers alike. In meeting the real need for clean water, doors are opened to local missionaries to share the Gospel to the villagers.
Please read Matthew 25:31-46 to see one example of a biblical foundation for believers in Jesus to make provision to those who are lacking in the basic needs of life.
Can you afford $1? How about $5? Sure, it would be really great to be able to give enough to reach the entire goal with one donation, but that is not how the real world works.
The responsibility is not left to just one or two people of means. The responsibility for the needs of the poor fall on us all to do what we can. Being poor is a relative term. There is always someone worse off or better off.
This is an opportunity where you can be extraordinary by just being ordinary. You do not need to give the full $1,400. How about just $1 or whatever the Lord puts on your heart? Here at Alderson Arts we are just asking if you will help us reach this goal of building one Jesus Well.
