I've often felt quite envious of all these great Christian preachers and teachers of the Word of God, quite small and insignificant in fact. I haven't really achieved anything noteworthy other than managing to survive bringing five children up...which is still a work in progress I might add and I have the grey hairs to prove it ;) Nevertheless I have always wanted to 'do' something for Jesus but never really knew what so whilst I am still trying to figure that one out I thought I would dip my big toe into the pool of small challenges.

And so here it is my small challenge...raise $96 for a bunch of lovely Christians in Asia who desperately need Bibles many of which have never even seen or held one let alone owned one! Each Bible costs just $3 so maybe we can help out a little and instead of putting that multipack of crisps or those few little chocolate bars in our shopping basket we can donate the money here instead....

.....oh and the pink elephant? Well elephants are found in Asia and are known for their great stature and their wonderful magnificence. Their brute strength and also their gentleness is just like God's Word so I felt this wonderful creature was rather fitting....and great in pink :)

Please help this little campaign and I'll put in a good word with God on your behalf that you will be generously rewarded with lashings of Ben & Jerry's ice cream for all eternity....failing that will a simple thank you do?
