I am raising money for a pair of chickens to be bought for a family in South Asia. Chickens are an amazing and versatile animal. They can be personal and yet provide a constant food/income source without being killed or used up. They do not have to grow back their resources and are fantastic foragers. They are a fairly clean animal if let out with supervision to do what they do best; Eat every living bug and pest they can reach. A family could use the eggs to provide an excellent source of protein for their family and share/sell the surplus. They also produce more chicks several times a year. My goal is to provide 50 families with a pair of chickens. It costs $11 for 1 pair. I am giving one of my prints that I have made which celebrate my own dear little guy "Fluff" who is a Mille Fleur game rooster. He was a dandy (thinks he is a gorgeous boy/likes to show off) and we still have a couple of his sons and really enjoy having these wonderful pets as a part of our family culture.
