Message from Elijah and Micah
Elijah (5) and Micah (3) are determined to raise and earn enough money to buy the 'Barnyard Bundle' to help impoverished families in India for Christmas. They will be taking pledges for riding their bikes as many times as they can across the bridge over Austin's Town Lake, selling handmade goods, going door to door to fund raise, and doing extra chores for money like pulling weeds, etc.
They have emptied out their piggy banks and putting every dollar and penny they can acquire into their jar for India. Elijah says this is his 'birthday present to Jesus' since that's what Christmas is all about! Will you please join them in helping those in desperate need?
Details:
Elijah just learned how to ride his big bike without training wheels and has been training to cross the Pfluger Pedestrian Bridge across Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Tx as many times as he can to raise money for the needy on November 19th.
Flat donations are great, as well as pledges per time he can cross the bridge. (The bridge is about .30 miles across, so .15 miles is one way. I'm guessing he can cross about 15 times, but his goal is 25! Gotta love his optimism!) We will announce how many times he crossed that day so you can come donate that way if you'd like.
He'll be biking with his friends Jack and Ben who are raising money for Niger, Africa. You can view their fundraising site here:

**update! Elijah and Micah did a great job going across the bridge today! Elijah surpassed his goal and went across 32 times!! Micah crossed 20 times!! I'm so proud of them for persevering even when they wanted to quit a couple of times. We'd stop and pray, have a snack, remind ourselves of the people in India needing food and money to live, and that lifted everyone's spirits! Thank you for your donations!

About Barnyard Bundles
Each animal in the Barnyard Bundle provides a vital source of income for an impoverished family, and demonstrates the love of Christ in a tangible way. The bundle includes six chickens, two goats, one cow, and four pigs. The milk, meat, and eggs given by these animals provide nourishment and a means of livelihood for a family.
For every $678 donated, GFA can give the twelve animals in the Barnyard Bundle to families in need.
