Hi friends and family!
THANK YOU so much for taking the time to find out how you can bless me on my birthday!
WHAT IS THIS PAGE? For my birthday I would like to raise funds for a charitable organization called Gospel For Asia (GFA). I was introduced to GFA a few years ago through a book called "A Revolution in World Missions" by KP Yohannon. The main point of the book was that being a missionary does not always mean that we will personally travel across the globe to preach the gospel. Sometimes it means SENDING others, through discipleship, financial support, and prayer.
WHAT WILL YOUR DONATION BE USED FOR? To purchase bicycles for Christian missionaries who WALK for miles everyday to spread the name of Jesus Christ in places where it has never been spoken. These bicycles have a HUGE impact on their ability to reach more people. (See video below)
WHY GFA? There are thousands of charitable organizations that do great work around the world. GFA is particularly important to me because its #1 mission is to reach the millions of "hidden people" in the "10/40 Window" (google it!) who will die without ever having the opportunity to hear about Christ. They understand that feeding the hungry and caring for the sick is only the beginning, and that what people need more than anything is the ETERNAL life that can only come through Christ. "What benefit will it be to you if you gain the whole world, but lose your soul?" Mark 8:36. GFA missionaries are local to the region in which they operate, and as such, understand the culture of the people they're trying to reach and can also travel to places where American missionaries are restricted from traveling. Some live in places where Christianity is a crime. They've been run out of villages, stoned, put in prison, and killed, and they do it all simply because they want to offer life to a dying people. I've read so many of their testimonies and supporting them has become important to me.
That's what your donation means to me! All of us working together to fulfill the Great Commission.
There's plenty of info available about GFA across the web, and I encourage you to do your homework before donating! Please read more at www.gfa.org. Also, the book I mentioned is available for FREE there under the "Free Resources" tab.
Thanks so much for making this a wonderful 30th birthday!
