Hi All,

I just want to acknowledge my beautiful son for his generosity.
We don't give him any pocket money, but gets the odd coin here and there. He said to me out of the blue today that he wants to help the poor - how beautiful - I told him about my campaign which he didn't know about until now.
He expressed that he really wanted to help so we counted his money.
All he had was $5.40 so I told him I'd match it. That took us up to $10.80. What an achievement! :-)

Children really know how to give don't they? He's often bringing me home a picture he's drawn at school for me. I had so many pictures piled up that Ricardo (husband) decided to decorate his office with Mikey's paintings and drawings. It looks amazing. What a little artist.

Children are close to the Father's heart. They give without concern of having nothing left, a lot like the widow in the Bible who gave all that she had. Mikey is as giving as this woman.

Keep it up Mikey, you're doing so well!
For those of you who know Mikey, I just read it out to him, and he's totally proud of himself. Hope I haven't made his head swell too much...hehehe.

Below is my original campaign message.

I'm doing this campaign because God has placed on my heart to do something for these vulnerable little children. The conditions that these children are in are terrible. Many of them put out on the street to fend for themselves because their parents can't feed them and don't want to watch them die. They think that if they're out on the street someone will pick them up and care for them, but that's not always the case. Some get picked up by Bridge of Hope, and are given a home, food, clothing, education, and they learn about Jesus and how they have a Father who will never abandon them. Others are not so fortunate. They get captured and made to work as slaves for cruel people. Girls in particular are in great danger of being picked up and forced into prostitution.

These are God's children whom He loves, He wants love and protection for them. A good home for them to live in with people who will teach and care for them. Bridge of Hope offers this, and your donation will help get these little children off the streets and into homes where they will be taken care of and loved with the love of Christ.

I was hungry, and you gave Me food. I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink. I was alone and away from home, and you invited Me into your house. I was without clothes, and you gave Me something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for Me. I was in prison, and you visited Me.’
