This Christmas taught me a lesson. I want for nothing. I have never worried about where my next meal would come from because I had wonderful parents who were willing and able to take care of me. I have never once wondered where I would sleep at night. I don't worry about having clothes to wear, shoes on my feet or having hot water to take a shower. My wants are for excess only and this year for my birthday I want something different. I want to build a well. I want someone else to truly benefit from my excess. I know so many people and so many of you have such compassionate hearts I feel confident I can raise the money needed to build a well in a little over a month. I specifically chose this organization because it supports the region of southeast Asia and my husband is of Vietnamese decent. I am thrilled at the idea that this well could possibly be built there. So, if you are willing and able I am asking for your help in making my birthday wish come true! I know I am only one person and I cannot change the world by myself, but I do not want the idea that the problems of the world are too overwhelming for me not to try to change something.
