At first Amelya wanted to travel to Asia to help build a church, but after reading Revolution in World Missions by K.P. Yohannan, she decided the best way she could help congregations in Asia was to start a myGFA campaign and support believers on the other side of the world.
When Amelya was 10 years old, she had a strong desire to provide a camel for a family in Asia. Her family laughed at the thought because they just didn’t have the funds to give that gift. Through her prayers and fundraisers, God raised the amount needed for a camel in just two short weeks!

Amelya was then ready for another adventure: to help provide a congregation in Asia with their own church building.
So she started to sell cupcakes, asked for money towards the church for her 11th birthday, spoke at various events, hosted fundraising events and involved her community in this opportunity to give a safe place of worship for a body of believers in Asia.
Today, because of Amelya’s childlike faith in God’s limitlessness, she has received more than the $11,000 needed to build a church and has provided a roof over the heads of brothers and sisters in Asia!
