What do we spend $11 on every day? $11 buys us three fancy coffees that are gone within minutes. $11 pays for a cd, or a book, or a few packs of sodas. You can even buy clothing for $11. This weekend I spent almost that much on coffee and lunch. How many $11 impulse buys have you made? And how many of those things are now in a landfill or forgotten?
$11 to a family in South Asia means survival. $11 buys a pair of chicks. These chickens will grow to lay eggs, which will be eaten, or allowed to grow into chickens. They provide food and income for a family. Your gift will not be forgotten by the family you bless.
